Anyone ever sold their existing recurring security system customer accounts? If so, wondering what the best route was and what the multiplier was in the end....

I can't speak from experience, but I have heard that the going rate, at least in Texas, was about 1k per account.

Has anyone sold their client list when they decided to close?

I'll start a new thread, if needed.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Company I used to work for would sell them, not sure who would buy but I believe the multiplier they were getting back then was somewhere in the range of 30-35x monthly. So a monthly account at $30 would be $900-1050. This was back in 2006-7ish so obviously outdated but I dont imagine it would change much

That is close. The standard rate is 3 years revenue and usually a buyer will include a 1 year drop off clause that you need to counter with a void if any price increase is presented to the account holder in that period. I have required that service requests during that period run through my company. This prevents mass exodus.
