How does a client with a Protect system (cameras and NVR on the CK or router) access the recorded video from their PC or Mac? I haven't looked at it close enough to understand but see Protect loaded on a bunch of my sites with UDM Pro routers and am curious. Do you give access to the unifi dashboard? I get they have the Protect app or whatever it is called but I try to get clients to use a laptop or tablet to look at recorded video.

unifi.ui.com.  You will give user access to whatever you want them to have.  I've found that the streaming on a computer can be laggy though.  Currently the app works the best.

| UBNT doesn't have PTZ cameras (well, none that can auto track) or fisheye cameras (I know, I know)

They have a fisheye coming out, I have an EA version of it and it's pretty nice.

I saw it in the EA store but not in person, glad to hear it's pretty good.

The PTZ image is amazing (Sony lens) but they'll lose everybody if they don't get auto tracking and patrol mode soon....... It's an $1800 camera for F's sake!

Yes, it's $1800, but what other PTZ in that price range offers 4k with 22x optical zoom?

For me, unless a PTZ will be monitored 24/7, they're worthless without patrol mode and auto tracking.  I'd rather put in a panoramic multi lens camera.
