Customer wants to have a camera about 1/4 mile away. It's a clear shot to the house but no power or conduit at the camera location.

I was thinking a battery/solar set up which could power the camera as well as the TX side of a wireless bridge like Unifi.

Anyone else done this? It's in Colorado, so snow might be an issue.

I really haven't looked closely at this yet but was thinking something like this:

I guess if I use a Ring solar, then all I need is a wireless bridge that will stay powered 24/7

Hikvision has a solar-powered camera with Cell connectivity but I have not seen one with a WIFiI AP.

The Hikvision unit is rated down to 32°F while charging and operating down to -4°F. I'm not sure how compatible this is with a remote Colorado location.

Do they have cellular service in the area? If so, look at something like this-

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
