So far:

I've given away all the central vacuum stuff (pipe, inlet rough in brackets, etc, etc) to one of my old competitors.

I've given away three full boxes of Cat5e to an old fried that works for ADI.

I've loaded up a 250' spool of RGB with LR mini coax, a 250' Spool of Liberty 14ga Ultra Cap speaker wire, a 100' spool of 16ga flat speaker wire, a couple TV wall mounts, a TV ceiling mount, and various other "good" things that are going to be sold for scrap metal.

It's a sad day when things that have some good value, need to be sold for pennies on the dollar, but the weight and shipping cost IS a problem.

We are out on the 5th, tag sale is on the 16th & 17th, clean out on the 18th. Time IS running out.

Moving is tough!

The "Treasure" collection tends to expand to fill the available space.

I had an aunt and uncle who collected antiques. They had two houses and several barns full of Treasure. Actually, this was a treasure because these were quality items, not fragments of dreck that one usually finds in a basement or attic.

Well, it's not all bad....

I did sell my 67 Beetle convert, my 69 Vette, the Mini Cooper S will be sold soon, and tools. tons of tools, and more tools (some going as scrap metal), and the house too.

All this will pay for my life of ease on the beach, so it really isn't all bad...:-)

Speaking of "Treasure", does anyone need a large pile of composit video cables that we've been collecting in our basement? We can include a collection of component cables too. These are the cables packed with receivers, players and such.

Craig's List or Facebook marketplace are OK for selling this stuff, but you may end up donating them because a lot of people would have no idea what they're used for.

And, they'll probably expect free shipping for this dollar or so item.

We had a pair of Klipsch speakers that were 'scented' with cat urine. I placed them at the curb with a note "Sound good, smell bad" and they walked away a couple hours later.

Flatten the ends in a vise then put them outside. People will think that the cables are premium USB-B or USB-A cables.

$.60 a pound in the scrap yards around me. Throw 'em in the same bucket with all the small gage power cables, usb's, VGA's, etc.

That's it!

I'll sell this stuff as high end audio cabling, AKA Monster.....

It's worth MORE because it has spare conductors that prevent cross talk.

Imagine if you will, two conductors for the source to amplifier, and three drain wires!

LOL

I have two part spools on eBay now, trying to give away for the cost of shipping but no bites lol
