Dear Valued Partner,

We know how important CEDIA® is to our partners, our colleagues, and our industry. Given the re-escalation of the COVID-19 crisis, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw from this year’s Expo.

Be assured, we had been eagerly preparing for our return to the CEDIA Expo. Our booth, dealer training classes, press engagement and social events were all ready to go. Despite our enthusiasm and commitment, the well-being and peace of mind of our Crestron community is always our priority. Given so much uncertainty, we felt a decision to withdraw now would be in everyone’s best interest.

Like so many of you, we look forward to once again sharing innovations, and ideas, and reigniting relationships. We’re working on opportunities to help make that happen as soon as possible, and are committed to joining you at CEDIA Expo next year with our best show ever.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

At this point you have ask yourself, why hasn’t Cedia just been canceled?

Because if they did that, they'd have to refund everyone.

Just got an email from Emerald Events who now owns the show, that it is still on. With all the cancellations, it's just nuts.

And they have contracts with the city, venue etc.
And likely hoping a mandate goes through, which would clear them of those contracts, or kicks in their insurance.

Over the past few days, several companies have announced they are no longer exhibiting, including Savant, Snap One, Sound United, Legrand, RTI, Samsung/Harman Luxury Audio, AudioQuest, Sonos, Sony, Elk Products, LG and Ring.

This “it might have been” quote from famed poet Whittier might be the best way the industry will react to the news that both Lutron and Crestron have become the latest casualties of CEDIA Expo 2021 due to the coronavirus.

Why? This whole Covid thing is just fake news.
