We have a lot of CIS (rebranded MikroTik) routers and WAPs that I was wondering if we can revert them back to the standard MikroTik firmware or software so we can try and use them.
As far as I know, CIS buys MikroTik routers and WAPs and installs their own software (or firmware) so they can control the network, that we sell. We couldn't set up most stuff on the routers except for the ssid name and password, and we weren't really happy anyway.
Does anyone think that this can be done?

I’d say give it a shot. Download the latest Tik firmware from their site and try it on a device. Worse case, you wouldn’t be out no more than a couple hundred for their routers.

I’m fairly sure that you can. When in doubt about anything Mikrotik i call RLC networks and ask Chris (springs on IP) as he is a Mikrotik expert.
