It may be too late, but they might be salvageable.

NFL package will expire in 2022, that may be the death knell.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

It's a Phoenix move, or dead man walking.
Time will tell.

They have all the pieces to be another revolution, but will likely die a slow death.
Technology is cheap, Time is expensive.

DirecTv in its new form will end up merged with Dish.

Today, that kind of deal wouldn't get anti-trust approval. But will after Dish gets their Cell/Data system somewhat viable.

Otherwise, DirecTV satellite will die, and streaming will end up with some other buyer

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

This is not a real "Spin off' if you read the details.

AT&T will still have way too much control.

Att may have the majority of equity, but not sure about control. Just a way for ATT to get some cash out of the deal now with hopes that an eventual full sale or IPO will make them whole. VC firms don't throw this king of money at operations they don't control.
