So, I've got the JBL Control 30's mounted now I need to find a projector for the space.
The owner wants to use the white wall for the projector (though I may at least push for a screen paint). Any paint recommendations would be great.
The wall space is 10' high by 12 wide. We don't have to fill the whole space since it would take it to the ground. This would be an estimated 120"+. Projector would be mounted 18'6" from the wall.
The area is bright but will have some shades. He plans on tracing art with the projector but also watching sports and some TV. I have $5000.00 in the bid at this point.
I haven't done projectors before so I'm hoping to get some input here.
Thanks in advance

Spitballing here, at that price I was going to say Epson office laser with a Dragonfly gray screen. But, looking at the Epson site, there are many out of stocks....

4K projectors are still somewhat costly. There are some half-measures from Epson and JVC that do '4k enhancement' (I have an Epson 6040ub, and it's fantastic), but they're not 'real 4k.' That is what I would advise.

I have a Viewsonic 4K Ultra HD. Great picture quality. Under $800. Highly recommend.

That far of a throw distance, plus ambient light and most likely commercial lighting, I’d be looking at a Christie or Barco. Something with at least 7500 lumens.

An $800 projector in a commercial setting. Hmmm.

I know, right? All I can say is Viewsonic projectors are great bang for the buck. With a $5K budget its worth looking into one of their more expensive models, for sure.

I'd suggest looking at a Sony Pro, and, depending on desired image size, one of their laser models with a longer lens.

Are reports of your demise greatly exaggerated?
