And now back to the MX-790. Is the MX-790 a replacement for the MX-890?

Replaces the 780.

Got a screen size upgrade and looks more like an 890.

Is there a retail price?

We just got our MX790s in and should get a chance to play with it today. I'm hoping that our templates for our MX780s still work (which they probably won't due to screen size?). We'll be smarter in a few hours.

You may want to start fresh, the graphics are better.

MX-790 programs like a MX-880. I will return/exchange for MX-890. And I still want my blank buttons back!

Correction. It programs like a MX780. What did you expect?

OK, I'll take a second look.

We had a chance to program a few.

You can use your existing MX780 templates but you can't do a flop-over (pull the programming for an old MX780 and throw it on a MX790). Therefore, if you have a client with a dead MX780, you need to do a new programming instead of a 2 minute flop-over.

With the newer graphics and a bigger screen, I would think you would want to create a new master file anyway. It would be like having the old graphics of an MX 980 in the new MX 990. No way Jose.

I'd like to get one and I am willing to pay retail price ($350) if someone can provide the software needed to program it.

Any authorized dealers out here?

Write to URC for permission. They will help.

Dealers don’t own it and are not authorized to give it away.

Software now has a login required which is tied to your dealer portal so no way for a dealer to give you a copy. Deal directly with URC as stated above.

Here's some pictures of it. It feels a little better in the hand than the MX780 did (kind of how the MX990 felt better to us than the MX980 did).
