Looking for a long distance HDMI solution.

I only need 1080p! I have available to me:

Burial grade Cat5 and an RG11 running between two buildings. No conduit.

I need to send a DirecTV HDMI video signal over one of these cables to a Sony that is a couple years old.

My Fluke tester shows 328 feet of distance.

I've tried a few solutions including AV Pro's top end HDMI extender but I just can't get the signal to show up reliably.

I've googled some other solutions I can try, but looking for something someone has actually field tested that is bullet proof! (OMG so much time spent messing with this).

Add client DTV box at that location.

I did this on an outdoor TV where the length just was to long for the single extender we had.

We had a junction in the garage about halfway, so ymmv. But we installed 2 extenders and connected them together. Powered the first from the transmitter side and the second from the TV side. Used an in wall box from snap to put it all in.

Probably not the most elegant solution, but it's been sitting fine for over a year now. It's what we had on hand and we made it work. Sources are a dtv client and apple tv. Snap HDMI switcher between.

I've gone 350 feet with a AVPE EX70-444-Kit in long range mode using a cat5e and it worked fine. Source was MX1616 chassis with Directv and Apple TVs, sink was Sunbrite TV

Take a look at this 2 conductor solution. I believe I have seen posts here before about a similar product when we were researching a similar scenario a while back. Have not tried it personally

I was actually considering this. I’ve done it in the past - I guess its still a viable option -

Distance is too long - unless you have a secret - DTv can only go 100-150 ft max as far as I know

I actually tried to use a converter that takes the HDMI signal and converts it to a digital HD channel. It actually worked but the unexpected issue was that there was a lag - once the TV tuner had received the signal it would take a second before the picture was processed - this led to a really bad lag on the control system - so bad it made you wanna throw the remote
