Hikvision Turbo DVR alarm outputs. Can’t change to IP cams that have this built in because of wiring. Does something like this exist in the burglar alarm industry, possibly with a line level audio out?

Can you elaborate on your specific requirement? There has to be alternatives to this than connecting directly to the DVR.

This seems pretty straight forward in a burglar system (most systems have a PGM and can be triggered by the zone/event).

The last thing I would do is connect any type of alarm notification to a camera system. There are way too many nuisance triggers and this would drive the customer and/or the neighbours mad.
You can't fix stupid

Thanks for your help! It’s a personal classic car museum. When the owner is present he enters a code that shuts off the camera power supply. I would make that disable the sound so that’s not an issue.

It will be Hikvision PIR motion events. Indoor. Seems like the alarm outs from the DVR should do the trick if I could find the right box. There is also a URC Master Controller at our disposal but seems like it should be simpler than that.

You want a contact to play a wav file?
Look at semi pro haunted house stuff.

URC (total control) can send a text to speech command to a new sonos port or Amp. Alarm output out of the NVR into a contact closure sensor on the URC which then triggers the sonos piece to say whatever message you typed in.

I know Dahua makes an entire line of “active deterrent” cameras that can play warning audio and flash white lights when certain visual conditions deter.
