There are lots of bad reviews on the Snap A/V website for the EA-AMP-HYB-2D-2000 amplifier. Does anyone know if the issues have been corrected? I would prefer Crown CDi-1000, but these seem to be hard to find via distribution. Is this Crown amp discontinued? This is a landscape install with 70v speakers and 8 ohm sub.

Went through this recently. After reading the reviews I decided to piece the system together and got the Crown amp separately. After I got it, I saw them on the shelf at ADI, and they even had an OK margin.

I forgot about ADI. We have one about one hour south in Fresno. Thank you for the suggestion.

I believe the Cdi-1000 and others in the line were disco's and replaced with newer models.  I haven't used the new ones but heard they are good but still a bit sad as the CDI 1000 and 2000 have been great amps for me.

Any idea what model replaces CDi-1000? I can't find the replacement on the Crown website.

CDi Drivecore are the newer versions moving forward. I’ve been using the DCi series since I usually have a DSP in my systems anyways.

Stay away from from those episode amps. Absolutely horrible.
