Fred, My distibutor told me that the HK31 will upconvert to 1080i. Don't tell me I have to call and give them the thing back:). If it does not I will be upset you know and on the phone to chew me some tail.
Thank you for the Integra feed. I will check them out.

I was going to give a smart guy response,
but decided against it.
My information about the DVD 31 is based on lit from HK. To quote the lit on the DVD31, " ...And with enhanced pixel-by-pixel progressive scan video processing".
That does not indicate upconversion to 1080i or 720p. Further, both manufacturers of up converting players I am familiar with (Tosh and Sammy) use either a DVI or an HDMI output for their upconverted signal.
So, I think you may be misinformed.
My final observation: check claims made by sources, including distributors, regarding specifications.

Most upconverting players output through DVI or HDMI. But there are a few component out players. Momitsu is one and I believe there are others. Google Momitsu for more info.
The HK is not an upconverter as far as I know. 480P only.

I second DDeca's enthusiasm over the Integra DPS-10.5. I have one with their cool DTR-10.5 card-based receiver using HDMI and iLink for video and audio. HDMI from the receiver to the SIM2 projector. Just great!
Dawn,
I signed up with Control4 several months ago (after CEDIA Expo, where they showed all kinds of stuff) but was rather put off by their seeming inability to firm up schedules for training and the like. I'm sort of taking a wait-and-see attitude, particularly since another person at an AMX class in November who had some "inside" word indicated that they were having technical difficulties getting things to work reliably.
Cie la vie,
Eric
