Hikvision software is ok but has a lot of bugs.

You will need a good computer with a good cpu and ram or just forget trying to view that much cameras at once.

I run the mac version on macbook pro its really buggy and I have to reboot it every couple hours or it may fail and restart itself. But hikvision stuff is fairly cheap so you have to give some and take some.

As other have said if he has a good computer you do need to make sure each remote site has good stable internet with good "upload" speeds.

You could move over to a Synology Setup which has great software but just expect a lot of upfront costs for the 4 NAS units and licensing costs depending on the number of cameras but even Synology wont work if your upload speeds are not good at each location.
