Brad, you should do a Youtube channel.

You would keep us entertained with your “pull no punches” reviews.

Well these days you have to do the whole social media platform. Have a Twitch channel that you do your live streams, have a YouTube channel for your video productions, have a Instagram account for all your daily blogging and pics, and a Twitter account for all your announcements. Oh and a Discord channel for something (not sure what).

I have thought about it but the truth is, no one wants to see my ugly mug :)
There is a reason only cute women and handsome guys do well in that category.
Plus my ranting on live Twitch would get old quick.

Just watch ChrisFix on YouTube. If you use his style of filming, your ugly mug won't matter 😁

Following up on this:
Back on site today. I determined I was able to run a cable to a nearby outlet to provide power. I terminated only pins 1,2,3 + 6 of both ends of the existing cable using the 2 undamaged pairs. Connected to camera + DVR before plugging in 12V power supply. Camera worked(with no power supply connected). I called ICRealtime - they insisted all 8 conductors are required for PoE - clearly this is not the case.

You're welcome.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Local power was always an option but I wanted to avoid it for at least a couple reasons. A visible power supply is one. But more importantly, ever try to reboot(remotely) a POE device that’s got a power supply plugged into it?
