Have one of you gone through the search required to find the printable version of the manual for the Apple TV 4K? In particular, model A1842. (I don't even know if there is a printable manual.)

I've found HTML versions of the manual. The pdf would be so much more useful! Can you point me to it?

Thanks!

edit: added 4K to Topic field, reworded a sentence.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

No, not in the usual sense of a manufacturer's website having a single pdf of a complete manual that can be downloaded and opened at will.

BUT

I see I wrote that very sloppily. I wanted a pdf version but I asked for "printable." My apologies; I was not specific enough. I haven't the time right now to look further at your suggestion to see if something there is indeed printable, but in the first few minutes looking at it, I haven't found a way to save anything and then open it later outside of a browser.

Ok, I've found it "right in there."

I open User Manual 02. I can save the manual as an html, but when i go to open the html, it doesn't open.

Going back to Manual 02, only one place lets me save the 99 page manual as a pdf: the printer icon over to the right in the gray bar above the manual pages.

That lets me print. I can also choose to save it as a pdf. But it's a dumb pdf, or a crippled pdf, or whatever it's actually called.

It seems to be an image of the pdf. You cannot search for anything in it. If you highlight something, the entire page it's on gets highlighted. When you find the table of contents on P7, no page numbers are listed and if you highlight something on a page, the entire page is highlighted.

This is of extremely little help, but thanks for trying.

Very strange. Because I clicked the download button at the top and downloaded the PDF. I even did it on my iPad and then opened it in files and books. Must be something wrong with your browser. Maybe you’ve got a virus.

Have you ever called Apple Care? They can send this kind of thing to people who can't find it in any other way, but then take the time to dump on someone who tried to help.

When you opened Manual 2, did you bother to look at the top, where it has
"Wiki Guide | HTML | PDF | Info" above a search bar? Click on PDF and download it.

I have to ask:
1. if you want it printable, and it's on a piece of paper, it can't be searched.
2. if you want it in electronic form, why can't you use the HTML version that's online?

AppleTV or really any online, streaming device's options, menus, and GUI changes so much that a 176 page printed manual really wouldn't be that useful.
In addition, firmware updates would make it outdated the moment they created it.
Printed manuals are not the preferred means of information transfer or dissemination in online-centric electronics. Xbox, PS2,3,4 or 5 as well as smartphones do not come with printed information outside of the FCC and California required BS.

Lastly, how many people do you think would pay for a printed manual if it meant an additional $5 cost?

It's not about the cost, it is about the environment remember:
