It was 100% accurate, and came to fruition. Apparently, you were wrong about this.

Super random but today i went to your site for the first time in forever looking to see if you had any videos up where you're navigating user interfaces. Im trying to figure out how to screen record my navigating an app on the iPhone and have presses show up in the video so i can create tutorials.

I saw the F B S stuff. Wow!

So as an insider i see its basically scheduling access control etc but your interface turned it into a legit luxury product. Who ever owns that company is a prime example of someone who knows when to hire a pro. I cant get over how awesome the marketing video is.

Their digital photo patent portfolio saved them from going under.

And now I know the rest of the story. Thanks for info.

I saw on AVS Forum that Logitech is supposed to release the Elite Plus in June.

Here's the FCC filing [Link: fccid.io]

and the manual [Link: usermanual.wiki]

Sure, in the Far East, but not in the US.

Oh, I thought Harmony was no more world-wide. I didn't you it just North America. So the database, etc., should be maintained?

I was told that the database WILL be supported and the fact that Squeezebox is still supported after more than ten years post-discontinuation was used as an example.

I have confirmed that YES the harmony product is being EOL'd. the backend and databases will be kept alive for future support (ala Squeezebox). New Stock will be available come February and replacement parts will be available for some time, but the product as a whole at this point is not being developed or built after Q1.

C4, please find a way to buy that database.

Hell, they might as well buy it all and turn the Harmony Elite remote into the NEEO 2.

If Snap4 did buy Harmony, they'd have a pretty good mix on price-points. Maybe missing something in the middle?

About as sensible as buying up video rental stores when they began to decline.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Do you mean they could start to sell Harmony? They picked up that brand over a year ago. With the hub-based models, they added a lot of market share and took a lot from URC, who used to crap all over Harmony and joke about the 'training wheels' idea of the Help button. Last times I went to URC training, they had nothing bad to say and even added a Help button to their hub-based model.

No, I mean they could start to Own Harmony. I understand they have sold them, I'm on a Snap website every day.

Harmony is great for what it can do, the market it has historically catered to, and the price-points they offer. What they lack is execution, hence the Help button. If we had a little more control over code sets used and macros, it could be a solid, low-end pro line.

Since they always intended their remotes to be programmed by users and not programmers, they knew a help button would be needed after the first prototypes (the original idea came from a doctor, who wanted to be able to control his system without the whole dog and pony show of a more complex remote). The lack of programming expertise and laziness are what cause most of the problems, IMO- I see comments on Facebook from people who think they can't add buttons for specific commands and they don't seem to have read any of the instructions.

What do you want to do with their code sets? They're already the most complete in the market and they do learn- if needed, you can send codes in Hex and the tech support people can convert them to work with IR and IP if the device can be operated via IP. Macros can be created, delays added, repeats changed, commands added to activities, etc.
