Looking to upgrade some EERO pro systems to the newer Eeros with WiFi 6.

Road block on a few projects is the lack of a POE mount solution like the ones available for the older Eero Pro's...

Anyone here found a work around? I'm guessing it's probably a poe power/current limitation, but I'm far from an expert on that.

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

Eero has said they will not make a POE kit for the WiFi 6.

Probably because it was very expensive for what it was and they didn't sell many of them. I wouldn't mind seeing a mount for that application, even if it comes from a third party. Metra, are you listening?

But the only thing that's really needed is the mount- EERO has said, at training sessions, that any POE injector will work as long as it's able to meet the power demand.

Yeah but...

Just happens any POE injector won’t bust out the connection from ethernet to an Eero power plug.

We've always thought this was an intentional design flaw to make you purchase more eero gear.

I think the eero plug is just a USB C right?

I wonder if this would work...

Pretty cool.

So a POE injector at the far end, that adapter and a versa-box at the Eero end, then to wall mount it... ahhhh

That one will not work, it needs to be AT for the Eero 5, I haven't checked if the 6 would need BT. If so there is an option I just used for an iPad pro.

Here is the poe+ version; [Link: amazon.com]
