Flush mount in ceilings is not an option. There is no above ceiling cavity for them

All lights will be surface mount, small...either pendant or track lights. Need a total of appx 24-26 each for multiple rooms

They need to be small (3-5” diameter). Preferring ceiling mount pointing straight down. There are exposed beams so, some could be mounted on the side of the beams pointing down at an angle.

Residential system, prefer 4-8 ohm. Will not be using 70v on this system

Ceilings are 12’ in some areas ... 15’ in other areas

Prefer black or if white, paintable.

In wall subwoofers will be added to each room to balance out bass frequencies

Will consider small pendants, spheres, etc

I’ve kinda ruled out smaller landscape style speakers. These would be ok if mounted to the sides of the exposed beams but not out in the middle of the ceiling as they wouldn’t typically be able to be pointed straight down.

TruAudio has some small satellites, spheres, appx size of a softball that are being considered. Looking for other options though. Is Gallo still around.

Contrarian approach: Use Sonos ONE SL's. While they may seem more expensive as speakers, there is no central amplifier or control system requirement. Of course, you will need power and I recommend network wiring too. One possible deal breaker is the 32 box limit to the system. Also, in wall subs are not available. You could add a few Sonos SUB's, but this would probably exceed the 32 box system limit.

These prob be no deeper than 8”

I see Gallo does have some sphere pendants. Not sure if they will set me up as a dealer though. They would probably be perfect for this job

Thanks, but no thanks. I was a Sonos dealer for 10 years. Not sure I like the direction they are heading since they went public. I do use Sonos personally but not on this job.

This job will probably have music cast as the streaming source

James pendants? They're essentially the landscape series speakers in a slightly different enclosure.

See if Triad will make a custom cylindrical enclosure for their wide-dispersion drivers from the designer series.

Stealth Stingray seems like it might be ceiling-mountable.

KEF T101, available in white or black, are 5 1/2" wide by 13" long, and could mount on the downward face of the beam. just over 1 3/8" deep...

Sonance makes some cool pendants too. I like them better than the James.

The KEFS are too big but thanks for that suggestion Fred.

Not sure what your budget is but Triad will make whatever you want. We replaced a car audio system on an old steam boat that was being converted to electric. They made custom surface mount speakers for 10 locations that all had different dimensions. They sounded and looked great.

Can you post photos?

Maybe something like this:

[Link: jblpro.com]

I've used a lot of their larger 70v versions in a big barn/garage/bar/man cave install a few years ago. They sound really good.

These are pretty compact, and are 8Ohm.

Monitor Audio Radius series? They include mounting brackets and come in a few colors.

You may consider the QSC AD-P.SAT speakers. Black or white They are on the small size for a pendant model.
