I know when it's time to trim by occasional signal interruption on HD channels.

The "another 10' doesn't freaking matter" reminds me of two things:

*A house on Mulholland Drive not far from the Hollywood Bowl that had a major remodel about five years ago. It'd s nit below the road and you can see the clean look of the roofline.

And then a satellite installer mounted a dish to the highest, most visible point on the roof. Completely uglifies the house.

*a Commscope Cable ad from the early days of cable:

"The signal has gone half a million miles* to get to your customer -- don't mess it up in the last thirty feet!"

*Or whatever. Corrections will be edited in.

You do know I was referring to a C-band dish, right?

I rented from my friend at the time when he was selling and installing satellite equipment and he brought the partner's 12' dish to the house. It was on a trailer for demo purposes (sure, why not just drag it around and let people see it at their homes, right?) and while it was definitely not attractive, it was inside the perimeter of the yard and perfectly legal- that didn't sit well with the next door neighbor, so he called the Police. The first thing they uttered when my friend went out to talk to them was "How many channels does that pick up?". That led to a call from the alderman and a meeting, to discuss whether Milwaukee could create their own cable system. Judging by the negative comments without any hint of acceptance by some of the other aldermen who seemed to have been paid off, MKE picked Warner-Amex.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

I only once caught a water pipe with a spade bit and got a faceful of water. I also only once cut into a power cable with a drill bit.
Both times it was for the same owner but in 2 different houses about 3 years apart. What are the odds.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.

I was reading faster than I was perceiving, which just turns my response into something a bit hilarious. Oopsie.

Remember Amplica satellite systems? The A/V chain I was working for around 1990 got sold on them and we sold perhaps fifty units.

They seemed to be great until they weren't. They eventually were so bad that every receiver had to be exchanged for a new one.

Then there was the day the owner of a bar dropped by our place with a piece of cardboard from the dish carton. The installers had dropped the dish carton (about four feet by six feet by 1 1/2 feet of solid cardboard) in their trash can. This is how the installers got rid of their trash!

That relationship was over none too soon.

Over the years I hit water twice. It was irritating but not tragic.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

We were once cited for illegal trash dumping. A contractor reported us to L&I (Licenses & Inspections) for dropping our trash in 'his' dumpster. We were using a sub at the time and that relationship was straining. We were about to fry that sub over this and a few other issues. Turns out that the dumpster was actually rented by our customer who was renovating another house a couple doors away. Our customer dumped his trash in his dumpster. We had to go to court, along with our customer, in order to straighten this out.
