Anyone having issues when the customer opens nthe app and see the family room system needs to be reconfigured I’ve had three in the last week? All other zones are working perfectly fine. One of them I rebooted and it pops back in the other I updated him into S2 rebooted doubled the family room zone family room one and two, so it gave two family room boxes I deleted the one kept the two and it’s working? Not sure if it’s new iOS update our Sonos updating

Are any players wired? Are the problem players wired or wireless? Are you reserving IP addresses for the players? Is the system using Alexa?

They need to use S2, or it won't work. I got a call about this from a husband and he said his wife was having a 'girls weekend' with some friends and that I should call her. She said that some of the Sonos were missing and when she mentioned the notification, I told her to download S2, which I had to do when I was there the last time, but I thought they might have done it after I sent a message to do that. It worked immediately.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

It’s only playbars? Amps are working fine? One playbar is wireless and one is hardwired. But all amps are hardwired and working?

Downloaded S2 and no luck. Had to reboot one of them and it worked. The other I had to delete then re add?

In this sort of situation it’s handy to check for duplicate IP addresses.

In the system I referred to, they have a Playbar, three Connects, a couple of Sonos 1, a Sonos 5 and anything they might have added since I was there- I think I counted seven pieces a few months ago. I don't remember which didn't show up but I installed S2 as soon as I saw the notification and didn't have any problems after.

I did service call for a Sonos last week. Nothing would show up on the app. He had 2 play bars with subs each and a play 3. They where setup on WiFi with just the att gateway. We tried to redo the setup and couldn’t get it to connect. We ended up having to change the WiFi name different from the 5ghz WiFi. That finally let it get hooked back onto the WiFi.

Sonos doesn't work with 5GHz. For that matter, look at the spec for WiFi and IIRC, it shows 802.11g.

Best to wire the first one to the network and add the others but Sonosnet sucks for range. I couldn't get a Port to find the Playbar on the other side of a block wall, even though they were only about a foot apart. Couldn't connect the Port to the closest WiFi, either. Everything else in the area was able, but not that one.

I wonder if it’s bc playbar at and Sunday is wireless? It’s happened 3 times now? All amps are in a rack and hardwired. On two systems the playbar were hardwired. I always get that wrench 🔧 saying that playbar and Sunday in family room needs to be reconfigured?

If some of the units are wired, delete the WiFi setup from the Sonos system. If a wireless Sonos unit has WiFi credentials and SonosNet is on the edge of connecting or not, the wireless unit will sometimes thrash between SonosNet and WiFi.
