I've been using Bolton but they are irritating me. I provide mostly AV, but have about 10 monitored security systems and growing. Bolton runs about $260/month.

Any suggestions from guys doing both AV and monitored security?

I had mine with Allied.  Never had a claim, so never used it.  But was happy with the premium it was about $800 per year.  $1M in liability

I used a company that I hooked up with through the Home Builders Association. for both liability and Workers Comp.

Worst part was the annual audits for WC (having incorporated it was much more in depth).

Can't remember the liability cost, but coverage was for $5M for any single event (I was concerned about that being too low at times)..

Our insurance company allows us to split out the percentage of work that is security VS AV. We pay less on the AV portion. I'd give you a name, but it seems like our broker has a new one every couple of years. They all allow us to separate the security portion.

I hadnt carried GL in over 10 years. It was a must on a commercial job. Next insurance ended up being a whopping $25 per month. Hell I will keep it for that price just to say we have it lol.

What do you do for coverage of your tools, equipment, etc? Next shows that the policy only covers liability.

Also, which type of business did you choose in their list- the only AV field showed 'Audio/Visual Collections'.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
