We just got word that Yamaha may be another month on receivers. This is for virtually all their models. Any other brands that might be coming in sooner?

Thanks in advance

I stopped by Yamaha HQ in Buena Park on Friday. The guy who was working there said they don't have any idea when receivers will be in.

That's "the guy" as in only one person at HQ. I think there were maybe five cars in the parking lot, too.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

There have been several threads about this issue, both here and on other boards.

Most major manufacturers stock is gone and the deliveries from Asia are coming much slower than typically expected. You are pretty much going to have to start calling around to any distributor that you do business with to try and find your parts, or get comfortable with sending your customers to Best Buy or online to get them. The only products that have been consistently available were the higher-end stuff (Anthem, Arcam, Audiocontrol, etc), but even those are starting to get harder to get as everyone is being forced to spend up just to get something.

Is this recently? Our supplier for both is out of everything with no ETA.

I know...I wanted to see if anything had changed. You literally can't buy a receiver at BB, Amazon, etc. Anything that shows up on-line is either used or a fake ETA.

Yes,

Just got a Denon AVR a couple weeks ago which was ordered maybe a week prior to receiving it.

Caveat is that I am in Canada so may also have something to do with supply

Our local distributor, now part of Snap, has only Sony brand BD players... no other brands in stock. And you have to be "authorized" to get them. I understand their authorization procedure is a joke, reminiscent of the early Law And Order detective Denis Farina who would say, when questioned, "It's okay -- we're authorized."

So, get authorized.

The approval process starts around :50 seconds in. NSFW or sensitive people-

I've heard that the US market has been prioritized over the rest of the world.
So if you have delays in the USA, try being at the bottom of the globe!
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

He's talking about Bluray players.  Just buy one or crapazon and be done.

Talked to our Yamaha rep this morning. He said realistically would be after 1st of the year.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.
