A while back someone posted a question about how many CDs could be ripped with new servers. I began today burning in CDs to my ARQ ripstation at about 8:30. I used both my ripstation and a server simultainiously ( about 4:1 ) and I have finished. I burned 101 CDs in these 7 hours. I had to manually enter some CD information and there were some problems encountered burning a few CDs ( scratches and errors slowing down the process ). My head is mush. The thought of burning 200 CDs is freighening. But 100 CDs in 7 hours does give you some idea of how quickly it can be done. I would love a second Ripstation.

Thats a pretty good refence point to use.
I find that three is a much easier method to load a large numbers of CD's.
I sedate my 9 year old with about a half shot of nyquil, and tell him that if he can load all the CD's before Conan's over, that he can have the go-kart I promised him for christmas two years ago.

I have ripped 2500 CD's to my server in my showroom-took quite a while. I have 3 computers in my office and if I get all 3 going at once (I use Music Match to rip and groom) I can do appx 50 an hour and that keeps you hopping.

Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time. |
