I could go on forever. Two years of struggles. first year, Plantar Fasciitis (self diagnosed and treated with stretching (not enough), good shoes and inserts. Then morphed inferior calcaneal bursitis. Several steroid shots worked great, but cased a complete rupture of the plantar fascia at the end of one year. I jumped out of the back of my pickup (2.5'). Year two, rehab of rupture. Walking boot, PT, and seems like it will never be the same.

Most of the above could be avoided by regular calf stretching. Not just when it starts to hurt, but several times a week, to several times a day. Yoga was helping until COVID. STRETCH, STRETCH, STRETCH!!!!

Fins, here's what you do. And stop blindly buying shoes and inserts, every foot is different. I have two pair of the following...

Find a local Chiropractor that carries these, they are awesome and will, odds are, fix your PF. Mine run about $275 a set. I go into my guy (via my BNI group), he has a foot scanner, ya just stand on it like a scale, and they get what they need. Pick them up a week later.

Also while you set up this relationship you should have the Chiro do a couple xrays to take a look. Top to bottom, it's all connected.

Last, pick up one of these, or similar...

They keep things stretched out while you're sleeping.

Are you walking around barefoot or socks in customers homes? Hell with that. Very few exceptions I will wear booties all day no problem but not gonna kill my knees and back not worth it.

No, my shoes don’t come off. I learned that years ago after a few days going barefoot working
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

Hoka running shoes made a huge diff for me. I really don’t have foot pain since wearing them. Specifically the Speedgoat model.

These are annoying to use at night but also seemed to help, since the plantar seems to want to seize up at night.

Specifically, my plantar Issues manifested at the bottom of my heel.

Great, they don't come in my size- Clown, medium.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
