I am looking for a feedback on this device , any good ? bad ? ugly ?
I have a potential customer who wants to install it by the gate , but there is no way to get ethernet or wi-fi to the gate . I understand that Ring controller connects via AT&T LTE radio , but what about the Ring door bell ( installed at the gate as well ) , does it somehow connects to controller and utilize the same LTE connection ?

I called Ring and unfortunately Ring Controller LTE communication is for open/close only so no " direct " connection to Ring door bell . It makes this device quite useless , unless you are getting it for the sole purpose of " key by Amazon " functionality ....
