Hello all,

Hope everyone is surviving the best they can. Looking for an inexpensive laptop for programming in our world. Hoping to spend less than $1,000.00 (much less).

Please share your suggestions.

Thanks,
GM

Mostly common CI programming suites.

RTI (Apex & TD)
LUTRON RR2
HARMAN Audio Architect
Harman London Architect
Panasonic Phones
Video (IP Cameras and VoIP)

Maybe Crestron Home And a few others in the same vein.

No Office Suite
No e-mail
No billing

Strictly programming

We use all Lenovos. Get as much RAM and a solid-state hard drive (quick boot up). We get about 3-4 years out of one.

I bought the Lenovo T590 when it was on sale. I like it, but hate the keyboard after typing on dells for years. I cannot get used to the spacing.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Lenovo Yoga for a nice light weight option can be had for under $1k with an i5.
If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.

I got this a while back and it's awesome. Spend a little more. Don't go cheap.

I guess I kind of wonder OP: Are you planning on using a desktop (larger) display also, when, well, at a desk?
