I have to do a zoom class this week. Actually two of us in the office are doing it and using the office conference room. I can send the video to the projector, but the laptop camera gives a bad view of our end. Can I use an IP camera or other camera instead of the one built into the laptop? Preferably an IP camera because we have some on the shelf

I know some that are using Zoom with their cells and cameras, and that's a bad idea.

Most aren't thinking that the camera is facing away, so you can hear them, and see the floor, walls, etc, etc. Plus they cannot seem to hold the cell still, so the image is bouncing around all over the place.

not sure about IP cameras (my guess is no), but you can definitely use a USB camera and select that as your camera source.

Yeah, I don’t have one of those handy.

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

Crestron uses the Huddly cameras. They are ok. There are several levels of quality.

Yes. I setup my DSLR has a document camera for my wife to use to teach her class. It was a little easier to connect with a PC, but can also do it with a Mac. PC requires one program to download while the Mac requires two.

We use Vaddio cameras with Zoom. Any USB camera that your OS will detect should work. As for IP cameras, you're out of luck for now. The May Windows 10 update includes support for using IP cameras as the system camera.
