Hey all.

I programmed this AP for a buddy. The did it on my computer at home. Tested it and it worked fine. I left all if the factory settings as is except I have the 2.4 and 5 different names.

He took it home and plugged it in and it’s blue light is flashing everyone and then indicating I believe, that is in isolated mode. I had him disconnect it from tbt ceiling and plug it directly into his bell (ISP provided) router. Same issue. Tried a different port and different cables so I don’t think it’s a cable issue. Tired changing the DNS server in the router to Google and Norton. No change. (Those were suggested as possible fixes when I searched on Google.

I’m going to have him down load the software so he can program it himself, this way he can have access to the controller at the same time as he contacts support chat.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks.

Craig

Google says to change the configuration in the settings - "Disable the Uplink Connectivity Monitor in Settings>Site"

I just had a AC M do this to me last week. I had to default the AP and set it up fresh.

Different blue flashing patterns mean different things...

If it's flashing 1/sec then it's more likely the BLE mode. I've setup cloud keys via BT but never an AP. Again I'd reset and start over

BTW uplink connectivity monitor just pings either the default gateway (default) or a custom IP address to see if that host is up. If the ping fails, the APs will stop broadcasting the SSID.

I figured I should report back what the results were. It turns out it wasn’t a problem with the access point at all. The stupid Bell router had its LAN ports disabled somehow. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that. A factory reset fix that.

Thank you again for your input.
