Do you like Bach?

I just looked up Bach's Easter Oratorio on

A few things:

The overall mood is celebratory.

In the introductory movement, the bassoon part which players must really enjoy, becomes really obvious around 1:32 is notable. That guy is pumping for all he's worth, all through that movement!

At 7:32, the words are "kommt, eilet und laufet," meaning come rushing and running -- to see the empty tomb, to get to the cave that covered Jesus.

The men, at 9:35, sing "laughing and joking accompany our hearts." And melisma is WELL put to use with that phrase!

Anyway, enjoy. I'm not going to write any more comments. I haven't heard this for more than thirty years and I've missed it.

Enjoy.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
