We have reached out the the 3 members that reported issues and will be working to get their issues resolved. I would encourage anyone having issues to contact support so that we can work to address any issues immediately.

As the Product Manager of OvrC, I can assure you that the team is constantly working to increase the accuracy of the information that is in OvrC. We understand the dependency that our customers have in our product to deliver excellent customer service to their customers.

Thanks,
Evan Marty

For those that are having problems, what ISP are you using? Maybe a common thread on the provider side?

I only use their power products for reboots and have had pretty good results. Clients especially like the home owner app for easy reboots. I get pretty good reporting for all my sites when a device goes offline due to power issues. All comcrap sites except for one which is on a WISP. That site reports fine but if I do an auto discovery I can see devices on other sites!

We have Comcast and CenturyLink in our area. Had equal amounts of systems on both providers. All sites had/have issues.

To clarify, this is nothing new. Anyone that has used Ovrc from the beginning, knows there has always been problems. There have been times in the past where the service was just outright unusable. I remember they said they did a huge migration to new servers at one point. And of course all the updates over the years.
But the one thing that has been consistent, is it NEVER works 100%. I think I remember a time a year or two ago, when it worked 90% of the time (the best it ever did). That was for a short time.
At this point (and a bunch of other categories they sell), I think it is beyond safe to say they will never have a reliable line of products with their name on it. It is the cheapest junk they can find to rebrand and try to patch it together as best they can. But it is all still junk! And will always have problems. Always.

I'm still amazed by the few dealers that do a large volume with them and have not experienced the mass of problems everyone else has. Just makes no sense how that can be. But it is what it is.

Well I spoke with Evan and thanks to his help I was mostly able to figure out what was going on.

The device count on the dashboard is only reporting devices that I have enabled for alerts. I swore it used to just show the count for all devices online/offline but maybe I am wrong.

Once specific site I still had reporting issues outside of this. Devices that are monitored with alerts weren't reporting properly but with a suggestion from Evan we found that hiding the device, then scanning and adding it back in fixed the issue. So I will have to go thru the list and hide all inactive, then add them back in and rename them and all should be well again. Why the hiccup on this one site idk, but at least we have a workaround.

Thanks for the support Evan! Always glad to see good support and someone who cares and is willing to lend a hand.

LOL, anything that sells for less than $1,889.

SurgeX is awesome surge protectors. But they really need to get into the 21 century with some connectivity products.

Holy cow. you got that right. 3-4 times the price as other similar products.

I love their technology and use it often... but thats a ridiculous price point.

Haven't people been complaining about stuff like this since they launched OVRC?

My clients demand the best and they are willing to pay for it. We stick a nuc computer in the rack and use this SurgeX piece. Works EVERY TIME.
