for months on end my systems report the wrong amount of devices online or offline. Rescanning the network doesn't fix what it reports on the front page of the dashboard.

For example, one clients badge says 12 offline. Yet I enter his system, 2 devices offline.

Every other client reports whacked too..... can say 11 devices online, zero offline. Open their system, 24 devices online, 5 offline.

and on and on and on.

Ive seen this problem for idk, 4-6 months or longer now easily.

WTF Snap! Have we just abandoned OVRc and fixing bugs or what?

I had it happen on ALL my sights as well - and I don't have a lot of sights with SnapAV stuff left. It was one of many reasons I dropped SnapAV last year.
Ovrc is just BS when it comes to actually knowing what is going on. It never tracks right and doesn't always log everything it is suppose to. Pretty useless even for free.
Those who 'think' it is working perfect for them... I would challenge you and say, you don't realize what it is not doing that it is suppose to.

Quite often I have sites that claim the switches are offline - yet everything attached to that very same main switch is reporting online. I have a Ubiquiti cloud key connected to the "offline" switch and I can log in easily. If it was offline I would get blocked. I also get two sites that seem to go online/ offline/ online yet the site is extremely stable. No internet drops, no client complaints and when I log in all is well. I agree that OVRC is not a reliable platform if you're depending on reporting accuracy. It's a very convenient tool to reboot items but if I relied on it to know if something was truly offline I'd be in trouble. Still like the overall functionality but the accuracy could be improved.

Items go offline for awhile and it won't tell you or log it.

Items online and it will say it is offline (more rare).

Some issue and you get a string of notifications over a few days that a device is going offline. But you never get a notification when it comes back online or a log showing when it came back online. Making it impossible to draw any conclusions.

Missing info from the Ovrc Pro scans. Items you know are online but does not show at all.

And all logs only go back 1 month on a device. But that isn't a bug, it is a feature :)

I use it for the remote reboot feature primarily, and it does that pretty well.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

We have reached out the the 3 members that reported issues and will be working to get their issues resolved. I would encourage anyone having issues to contact support so that we can work to address any issues immediately.

As the Product Manager of OvrC, I can assure you that the team is constantly working to increase the accuracy of the information that is in OvrC. We understand the dependency that our customers have in our product to deliver excellent customer service to their customers.

Thanks,
Evan Marty

SurgeX makes a great piece to do just that. Never had an issue.....not one.

I've had problems with OvrC accuracy/functionality, as well. I would probably have given up on it, except I am a C4 dealer and believe that using any monitoring platform other than OvrC will set me up for headaches down the line.

The strategic commitment that SnapAV has to OvrC is strong. I have to imagine the issues will be flushed out.
If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.

LOL, anything that sells for less than $1,889.

SurgeX is awesome surge protectors. But they really need to get into the 21 century with some connectivity products.
