I am Essential and working, so is the wife. Most everyone has a stay at home order that has been in place for about a week. Cases are blowing up around us, but the body bags are not.

We are in Colorado, and trying to figure out if we can keep business going with installs and service. ethically, is it right? If the clients wants the job done, and the techs want to work....do we let them? On and On we go.....

If everyone would be anal about shelter in place we could be done with mass isolation in about three weeks, then continue with good hygiene. Afterward, there would be residual contact tracing and select isolation as cleanup for a while.

Its not even going to matter, My wife has been dealing with some heart stuff now and we've been to the cardiologist a few times in the last few weeks. It is in the 'office" part of a hospital, the amount of people in the cardiologists office (workers) that were coughing, sneezing etc without covering their mouths or blowing their shit into their elbo was astonishing.

Im a germaphobe so I know how to practice being "clean" especially when im sick. it was pretty shocking to witness that, especially in a doctors office. The funny thing is, since we've been 3 times now in the last 3 weeks we have been asking about the ER. Its a total ghost town they say, so much so they have had to "cut" doctors and nurses. But the even funnier thing is, the news crews show up every day hoping todo a story.

I was recently in a doctors office and the receptionist asked me if I had traveled abroad. I remarked that it was already too late to inhibit COVID-19 spreading to the office if I had been infected. I should have been asked about that on or before entering the building. And, at this point I don't think that foreign travel is much of an issue since there are numerous infections nearby. A better question might have been "have you recently been in NYC?".

She cannot be sick. Tell her I said so.

On the doctors and hospitals:

I had an appointment on Monday for blood draw, and Friday for seeing the doc. I cancelled both.

Told the gal I'll call back when this virus stuff is DONE. Me being on a Immunosuppressant drug regiment, am thinking I am not be going to a place where they treat sick people.

She’s fine. She just realized she could only claim to have a headache so many times. 😁

Nothing deflates an out-there message like using the wrong words unless the point is 'to show' how poor our schools are 'as effectively as someone making a post about linguistics in a thread about sheltering in place'.

There- I fixed it for you.

Nah, that's not it. Let's see how your heart would be doing if you work up every morning, rolled over in bed, and what is looking back at you? Yeah, that'll shock even the strongest of hearts 😁

If you're going to take what could be seen as an extreme position, you should use the right words:

Damn, I don't know why I didn't realize these were the problems.

Went to a different grocery store this morning, This time a litter closer to the extreme affluence in our area. Grocery store was fully stocked like the one closer to our house was yesterday. TP was abundant, really the only look of "something" going on was the signs that reminded you to practice social distancing.

at least around here things are calming down (Suburbs of Philly)

You could tell the problem would go away with a 3pM injection.
