I refuse to use any news site that requires my contact info. That goes for any news site. This was never required before and the links or worthless being there if you don't sign up. Their site was already agonizingly slow, which was enough to keep me off it. Now, definitely no reason to use it.

Then don't use it. CE-Pro is still a great resource for the AV Industry.

You really don't have an email you use for junk?

lol Maybe 20 years ago it was a great resource.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

I don't register on "news" sites because spam almost always follows after the site is hacked, a moonlighting employee harvests and sells the list, or a marketing type feels that the list is a pot of gold to be rented out. In any case the result is wasted time for me as I wade through the trash. Sure, I have a very aggressive filter that can block the trash, but every time my address is shared it likely starts chain of shares, each requiring some of my time to wade through and push back.

Further, many of these "news" sites insist on sending daily updates.

Finally, the "news" organization may use a free platform that is in the business of compiling lists and sending emails that "may interest the registrant". (read the TOS)

CE Pro is already sending me emails that link to their site demanding registration. I'm declining that registration too.

If a site that demands I register and accept their trackers before I can view their "important" content, in about 99% of cases I decide that their content is not actually important and honor their request to leave the site.

I understand that the links support this site, but CE Pro needs to understand the end user dynamics if they want to receive value too.

There are a bunch of links in this page that no one likely ever clicks on. I don't see a problem with the CePro ones being there. You don't want to click on it, don't click on it. End of story.
