Client wants to cast Peloton iOS app to Roku Ultra. Googling turns up a bunch of questionable solutions. Anyone know a straightforward and reliable way to accomplish this before I spend a chunk of time sorting through this? Thanks.
If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.

Is it a Peloton iPhone app?
Roku has screen mirroring for that.

Or add an Apple TV

If they can afford peloton they can afford an AppleTV just for mirroring.

The worst thing to do: assume because a customer has bought something on the pricey side in one category, that they are willing to do it in another.

They have an iOS device but have a Roku. They would have had an opportunity to go with an AppleTV when they were choosing the 1st time and they choose Roku. And have probably been happy with it.

Forcing a customer to spend that much money and a change in their comfortable operation of the system they are use to, for 1 feature that the existing system can do free, is stupid.

Thanks for that, Brad. This is one of the solutions I toyed around with, but couldn't get a comfort level with. IIRC, when trying to mirror with sound, I was prompted to download another app. Ultimately, I got it to work, but the experience was a bit clunky.

I guess I will tell the client he has two options. Either try this out knowing that it's beta-ish, or else go for the Apple TV.

The one minor concern I have is that adding an iffy app to his iPhone and channel to Roku might destabilize his phone and/or Roku. However, I've never seen an iPhone misbehave in a way that couldn't be easily cleaned up and I imagine the same is true for a Roku channel.

Additional info for others....
App IS available on FireTV as an exclusive.

December 2019
"The company confirmed that the relationship with Amazon Fire TV is both its first and an exclusive one, so there won’t be any deals with competitors in the near future. "

Is there an app for the TV?

Was at a client’s house who wanted to send MacBook to their Samsung TV. I gave them all the stuff on resolutions and that TVs are computer monitors. HDMI cable worked badly.

Googled, found an app, and it actually was pretty amazing - MacBook to Samsung.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

There actually is an app (it's an LG TV), though sound is currently setup to play through the AVR with no audio path from the TV.
