Looking for a replacement for Ubiquity after discovering the routers run on USB sticks when I had a few failures. Which company should I be looking at for residential that has WiFi 6 access point coming up this year? I hear good things about Eero; anything else? They don't have WiFi 6 yet.

Whats the big deal with a $139 router using flash memory?

I think EnGenius is one of the only A/V centric lines doing Wifi6 Access points at the moment.

Otherwise your looking at Ruckus 730/750
Meraki
Aruba
Cisco

Interestingly, a $3000 Cisco router uses (compact) flash, as well. They just charge you $500 for it.

In my opinion it is still a little early for wide deployment of WiFi 6, but I wish that I had more options for current projects. The Netgear, TP Link, Linksys, etc. types offer WiFi 6 along with mesh.

I think that we will see a healthy upgrade market as WiFi 6 becomes mainstream.

Curious what failures you are seeing with UniFi? Apart from a recent issue where the cloud key will fall offline and requires a factory reset/restore from backup my sites have been working flawless. BTW the sites where this happens have worked fine (routing/switching/WiFi) with the cloud key offline
