I just received three "urgent" text's within a 15 minute period from a bank that I don't use. The text's reference an 800 number that does not turn up in a search. The bank does have offices in my city.

I suppose that they are attempting to get me to reply or call.

If you receive similar text's and they happened to guess your bank, I suggest that you put your reply on pause.

As a general rule i ignore all calls/texts/emails from financial institutions. If i (for example) just recently applied for a loan or made a large purchase and i get a call or text or email i just call into the bank directly and ask them if they have any information about it.

Yea, he could drop the money at my current GPS location by drone.

Many years ago I received a handwritten letter from the Prince. Now, I wish that I had kept it because it is probably worth something as a collector's item.

I just received three "urgent" text's ...

One text is a text.
More than one text are texts, not text's.

Whenever I get a text from Chase Bank, I mentally thank them for wasting my time texting instead of sending one more damn envelope full of advertising crap that I don't want to read.

When I get a text from anyone else, I usually simply ignore it. If it's from someone with whom I actually have an account, I might call the bank or go to their website directly to ask whether they're trying to get hold of me.

Never click on a link in any text. Never click on a link in any email unless you're certain certain and really for sure that it's from someone you trust. It just might be a spoof intended to drop you into a rabbit hole.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Citi sends me texts, usually to let me know that someone is fraudulently using my card number.

Frequent business travel = stolen CC numbers.

Restaurants are the worst.
