I forgot about the ball. What a POS that thing was. Remember that obscene thing that Sony made with the goofy egg shaped remote with one button on it?
The lesson to remember is that at one time, all of the above products were taken somewhat seriously.
Speaking of Sony, how about the DST system. It was billed as a multiroom system that used only coax for communication. Oh no, since end users can wire it themselves, it will soon put us all out of business!
Speaking of Sony (again), I remember seeing their new multi-room stuff at the last CEDIA and walking right past it. Since then, I've seen or heard nothing of it. Let me guess, it's not shipping yet right?

Frox: Passed on it. Like watching a car wreck. Coreo: Passed Terk: All over it. Get Terked! Phast: Couldn't get enough - until I got *way* too much. Net Command: We have it, but won't admit it to anybody. Sssshhhh... Soundstream: Passed Adcom: One of our favorite reps pushed hard, but we passed.
Is that a decent batting average? Your batting average is better than mine. From not on, you can do my buying for me!

Did anybody actually buy DIVX machines? Yeah, but there is no proof today. They kind of faded to dust in three or four weeks, depending on how much you paid for them.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |

Did anybody actually buy DIVX machines? I shorted Circuit City stock CC based on the premise DIVX would kill the company. Well it almost did. Stock sank from $60 and a little to under $5. Ha Ha to all the Lawyers supporting that one

Chiro? How about Cinepro amps, not entirely horrible but a service nightmare when they did go down. For a few years (and probably still today) Nad anything.. I remember one x-mas selling about 30 multi disc cd player from them, within 2 months almost all of them had come back for service. Proscan 52" and 60" big screens from about 8 years ago. The Proscan 80", what were they thinking...
