I've asked that an electrician take on this issue. I came to the boards because I would like to understand what I can about this.
Well it appears they did take the time to actually test something. I'm still laughing at the comment "pumped current" however. They 'pulled current' thru the service feed.
It would appear to be something on the homeowner's side then. But since it is only happening 2x a day, it still could be something on the power company side also. I mean, unless they are there testing when it happens, ANYTHING is possible at this point.
This is why I said no one on the forum board can really help. There are ENDLESS possibilities of what could be happening and causes.
If the electrician is good, he will be able to determine = 1st, what is actually happening. 2nd, what likely is causing it and trace the problem down.
This might only take a few hours on a day. Or it could take several days with tens of hours involved. And if it is on the customer's side, it could get real expensive - meaning home insurance claim.
