In 2012 we installed a Samsung UN50ES6900F TV in a ceiling mount. It was 1.2" deep. Todays 50'Ish TVs are twice as thick. The thinnest i found so far is a Samsung at 2.3". The custom mill work doesn't leave much wiggle room.

Are any of the TVs still on their diet?

I have 2 other easier to work with areas that have the same 2012 model so i could move one of those to the master and try and rework the cabinetry (all tvs are hidden with motorized lifts in custom nooks and crannies around the home). But...it would be nice to put the new TV in the master bedroom if i can find one that will fit.

Thanks.

The LG C9 is unbelievably thin. There's a bump in the back for the mount, but *most* of it is about 8mm thick. It's pretty crazy.

didnt LG announce a tv that was 3/4" throughout? instead of the ultra thin around the perimeter and a 1.5" bulge in the back, it was 3/4" throughout. not sure if it was oled or the nanocell.

There is the LG WX series, but currently the small one is 65". In my opinion, a big disadvantage is the "box" that needs to be nearby on a tether.
