Went to a job today where we installed an MX-450 a couple years ago and the remote looks brand new but was dead. I inquired about it and was informed that it goes through batteries almost daily so it doesn't get used.

After putting fresh batteries in it noticed that it looks like pixels are burnt out but these change from screen to screen and in the setup of the remote the prev and next text never appears (thinking this is all related to each other).

I'd plug it into your laptop and run a firmware update with the Archiver software.  I believe there was an old firmware that caused screen issues.

Call URC support. There was a known issue with earlier versions of those remotes. They will replace it for free. I have replaced several. The new ones are fine

What is it that when you have 1 dirty spammer dig up a thread, another one comes along shortly after.
Or is it the same spammer, using another account.

And why do they choose old threads that make it 100% obvious what they are doing?
Are they just that stupid or is it an AI crawler that's choosing them?

I know they are using one of the AI engines to post their replies. Just wondering if an AI crawler is the one always picky old & done threads.

If Brad and I were moderators...
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I think that they are attempting to establish themselves as legitimate by not including any links. After a few posts or some time, the spam will start. Spammers are “investing” now for the payoff later.

I was once a moderator on another forum and we’d see spammers “invest”, then return a year later and drop their load. IP addresses were mostly from the far east or Russia.

Same IP. Ukraine this time. At this point the entire countries of India and Pakistan are banned, and most of Russia.
