Anyone have a shortcut to running a USB Stick on a Sony XBR? IR will be fine. Need to automate a slide show in a Model Home.

Sony's have a demo mode where you can load up images to the TV internally.

We are using this with 6 TVs in a model showhome.

Well to be fair the demo mode is kind of beta software that came from sony and you have to side load onto the TV's from a usb stick and you have max of about 9 images unless you make an .mp4 slideshow

IR controlled SD card media players with HDMI at 1080p sell on Amazon for $20-$25, not elegant by any means but we have a couple model homes with over a year on the odometer working perfectly.

Thanks for the info. Found out that the slide show will be changing due to different events. So it will need to be USB based. The person running it is knowlegable enough to deal with accessing it.

Check the LG commercial line...there is a Resi-mercial part of the line that can be put into kiosk mode...boot right to the USB input...and be scheduled
Jack Rainey - Full disclosure...reformed integrator, now mid-Atlantic manufacturers rep for: Integra, Paradigm, Anthem, Parasound, Atlona, LG TV's and Metra Home Theater...among others
