The saddest part for me (and I'm sure many others) is having to tell my basketball-obsessed 10 year old the news. Sh!tty things happen to us all time, but having to tell kids is a different deal...

One of his daughters and a parent and another child on his daughters team were on board.

CNN reported 5 dead. LA Times reported 9 dead.

I'm much more inclined to believe the LA Times, since we all know that CNN never gets it right, in their rush to push a story.

Names are not being released until family members are notified.

Everyone believed it was 5 until the news conference where the LA County Sheriff announced there was 9 dead.

Sports Illustrated posted "survived by 4 daughters and wife".

No one cares about the real story anymore. Everyone has to get their half baked story out there so the clicks can start rolling in.
