Haven’t installed one of these in awhile. Now need to do a simple wall mount above a credenza (plenty of room for the box in the credenza and no need for an HDMI extender behind the TV.)

So, about the mount: Is the included mount the best/only way to go? Any gotchas to keep in mind? Thanks.
If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.

The included mount is the only way to get the TV flush to the wall unless you recess an articulating mount into the wall.

The Frame TVs do have VESA compliant mounting holes, but if you don't need to pull the TV out... just use the included mount

Just did one with a Chief In-wall articulating and we put the mounting box all the way in the wall and we got the Frame TV flush up to the wall.

These have a one connect still right? So you need a recessed box (like a versabox from snap) and stuff the one connect in that I assume for a flush mount using the oem mount?

Just put in a 55 a few days ago. Had to use the snap 20 inch box. Absolutely huge. Only had a few inches of play to hide the box. What a nightmare these stupid one boxes are.

A little off topic but a good one connect story. Have a client with a TV that the image was acting up. A 2 year old 75" model. Narrowed it down to the one connect box. Finding a replacement was a nightmare. It arrives and the new one is defective. The one connect cable also shows "No longer available". Nobody has any new.

These boxes are a joke. Definitely completely writing off samsung unless someone is dead set on a frame tv.

Open House makes an 18” enclosure, allows for a little bit more wiggle room on the height if you need to go up or down.

Is there any gap behind the frame TV? I know the frame itself is flush with the wall but can't recall if the frame creates a gap between the TV and wall surface.

Which then leads to if you are using the trim ring on the versa pro box or will not that allow the TV to sit flush.

The mount that comes with it works well and will get the TV all the way to the wall. Even has some post installation leveling built in. You should not need a box to hide the Connect One if you have a credenza below just fish the One Connect cable down.

Don't think I will be using the versabox on this install but wanted to know for future. Although There is a hole I need to patch behind the previous TV and was just going to put a smaller recessed box here but wasn't sure if the lip would be an issue. Or... if there was at least a gap wide enough that would also allow the one connect cable to sit between the wall and back of TV with frame flush.

The mount only spans 16” total. So it needs two studs perfectly centered. A lot of times we have to drill new holes to hit one stud and use toggles on the other side. Also if you use your own fasteners, make sure they are low profile or it will prevent a true “no gap” install.
The less I say, the smarter I will appear

^^^ yep lol give yourself plenty of time . It’s tricky but worth it and looks good when you’re done. The back has a recessed socket and a groove for the cable
