Have stadium that has two offices that want to record programs, but the cable company is no help with cable cards for Tivo and they just changed their encryption and don't even know which boxes they provide will work in the system. So I thinking HD Fury's to strip the HDMI protection, but box or software to record and playback?

I believe the FCC mandates that cable companies provide cable cards upon request. Used to be the law at least. Sounds like you might have talked to someone who has no clue.

At a cable provider? How dare you!
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

We ran into a situation a few months ago where the cable company provided CableCards, but not in the marina where we were setting up a houseboat. It was due to the switching equipment they had in place for the marina. A stadium may have a similar situation going on especially if they are feeding house programs over the cable signal.

I used one of these recently for simple project, the client was happy:

It is definitely not a Tivo, you have to manually record and manage your recordings, but for occasional records for archive or editing it works fine.

Other similar options from Black Magic Design or Atomos, etc.
