If you are waiting for your customers to ask you for better image quality, you're not going to get to sell it while you can still make some money off of it. Display resolution and capability has ALWAYS hit the market before the source content. And while the resolution number is what manufacturers market with, the higher contrast, better video processing, and lower profile are all beneficial even with lower resolution sources. I think we are seeing the downside to the death of retail, because average people aren't getting exposed to state-of-the-art experiences as often as they used to be. Back in the early 2000's anybody walking through a Best Buy or past the window of a Sony store in the mall saw an HDTV with an HD signal, and it was mind blowing largely because there was a comparison to a normal TV. If we had the ability to show HDR 4K video side by side with SDR 1080p video, we would have a similar (though maybe not as strong) of a demonstration that would drive more sales.

I think in the next few years we are going to continue to see the merging of three major trends in display technology: the image is going to get bigger, the image is going to get better, and camouflaging the image as something other than a big black rectangle when it's off. As the image continues to get better and better, we are going to see displays that cover an entire wall of them home- and when they aren't showing traditional "TV" content, they will be faux windows or walls, or artwork.

That is a negative....all on-board......75" thick and wall mountable only with included mount. It will take some planning to get the input area and power inputs right.

Tried watching the video but the idiot holding the remote was moving the pointer all over the screen and I threw up from motion sickness.
