Hey all. A client of mine is still using an old Bell Expressview 9242. This is the dual tuner receiver with a Remote 1 and Remote 2 which allows you to have a TV in another room on the second tuner. SD only.

In their system remote 1 is IR and Remote 2 is UHF. They have replaced the old TV that they have connected to the second tuner and no longer want to use the coaxial output for the second tuner to the second TV.

They now want to use an HDMI splitter and have the same picture on both TVs. The issue is that remote 2 now doesn’t do anything for them as they need to control Tuner 1 from the other room now.

So, is anyone aware of a way to switch Remote 2, so that it controls tuner 1 via UHF.

Or, if they buy a second Remote 1, can remote 1 be switched to UHF?

I have looked through a lot of documentation and can’t find anything that helps.

Other models had a tab in the bottom of the remote that you pull out and flip over to switch from IR to UHF. Not so on remote 1.

Others I’ve seen on line have a 4 position switch under the battery cover that allow you to change the remote from 1 to 2. Not so on this one. It has an A/B switch for changing to UHF frequency.

Thanks for you help.

Craig.

My wife says I can't do sarcasm. She says I just sound like an a$$hole.
