Hi Guys
I'm struggling with a new 890. Can't see how to press and hold to launch a Macro or more importantly how to not have it launch and just go to the device page?
thax

Use a before and after macro if these are device keys, before being the jump macro needed to simply enter a device, the after macro with a delay, being a push and hold macro to fire what commands you want delayed.

Located above the first line of macro window Thanks, found it. edmund, there is no before and after setting on the 890. Overall, disappointed compared to my 880. Screen is smaller, no backlit keys. Thanks, Guys bob

bob The 990 is the star. Super bright. Worth every penny.

Overall, disappointed compared to my 880. Screen is smaller, no backlit keys. ??? Are you sure you are programming an MX890? It absolutely DOES have backlit keys. And the screen is 2" just like on the MX880 But Tom is correct, the MX890 is not as bright lit as some other models - especially the hard buttons. The hard buttons are actually pretty dim, one of my biggest issues with the remote. Other than that, the 890 is awesome.

Other than that, the 890 is awesome. It’s a matter of semantics, but to me, the 890 buttons are so dim that they are useless, especially with clients over 60. That needs to be updated to make it a good remote.

Thanks, Guys
Yes it is an 890 and I had the brightness down and couldn't even tell the keys were lit. Maybe the screen seems smaller because of the graphics background and smaller fonts. I'm working on that. Bigger problem now is that the unit is freezing up constantly and I'm having to pull the battery to reset it. Too bad because it was literally NIB used from salvation army.

There was a running change on the MX-890 (and TRC-1080) that improved the key backlighting just recently, but the MX-990 is far brighter!

bob He means they changed the production at some point. You cannot upgrade your remote to have brighter backlights, you would have to swap it for a newer one.

Guys, my if/else isn't working; On the main screen I want press and hold to launch the Sat Macro but don't want it launch with just a tap. Want the tap to just take me to the device (Sat) page. Problem is a quick tap also launches the macro. If/else is set to time 2 secs, I guess I can't post pictures.
thx
