anyone know anything like a xantech SMLIT01 that would detect an LED turning on/off and give me a CC or 2v-30v output to tie into a C4 system

Before I look, do you require parts to make this yourself, or a finished product that you just connect to power and output while placing the sensor somewhere? Where is the sensor going to be placed, that is, are there any squirrely environmental details?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |

I'm sure that this is not exactly what you are looking for, but it will start a discussion.

URC makes one that plugs into their processors that you could split open the cable and use in this manner. "SEN-LITE" is the model number.

They are still made, but they are badged Elan now. And they can be powered separately if you cut the plug off and splice into the wire. But it’s a little bit of a science project. I think they may make one under the niles name for the Niles audio system.

If you want something purpose built, the Elan LTSENSOR with an Elan SIM2 is what you need.
