Stick with your Crestron plan; and work with a local dealer. The other control systems mentioned, while great for residential, really have no place in this type of install.

This is a load of crap from the kool aid drinkers. It’s a handful of tvs and cable boxes. I could make that function with one URC remote. We aren’t talking any super secret custom shit here.

Did you read the original request? He wants control via a PC. Does URC have an emulator program that I’m not aware of? These installs are also not conducive to just showing up and slapping some consumer-grade “controller” of RF gateway on the network and hoping for the best; security and such.

My point was that it’s not a complicated goal. The system could be controlled with one simple remote. There is no special solution that crestron can provide here that others don’t have. There is no security issue because the whole thing could be run off of wired IR. There are plenty of ways to solve this. But none of them are really exclusive to one brand.
